Telia delivers Content Delivery Network to Digita to
boost the company’s launch of domestic internet video distribution platform.
The cooperation strengthens both companies’ position within the media delivery
market in Finland. For Telia Finland, the first commercial CDN agreement is a
significant step in extending the company’s offering to content delivery.

 

Digita
provides a Multi-CDN solution to deliver internet television channels to their
customers in the Finnish market, and also internationally. “Digita’s core
competence is high-quality, live TV broadcasts over the terrestrial network and
it is important to offer the same viewing experience to online viewers”,
says Tatu Kaskela, Head of
Business at Digita. “The partnership with Telia ensures us excellent international
media delivery capabilities while our own investments are targeted to mainly
domestic viewing and operation from our 24/7 service operation center”,
continues Kaskela. Telia already operates the connectivity solution to Digita´s
television and radio networks.
