Business Development Manager Mari Paananen started working at Digita in late 2019. Paananen has extensive prior experience in the telecom industry. “Digita offered the opportunity to tackle interesting tasks to which I felt I could apply my experience in launching and developing new business activities,” Paananen says.

Sini-Erika Käyhkö joined Digita in summer 2020. Käyhkö is a Service Coordinator, a role that she was already familiar with before joining Digita, having performed similar duties in other organisations. “The telecom industry as a whole was something new to me, but taking the leap into the unknown was exciting and gathering the courage to do so paid off,” Käyhkö says.

The role of Digita’s Site Service team is to produce a reliable high-quality service for customers and to go above and beyond to give those customers peace of mind as they focus on their core business. Digita is an independent organisation and offers the stations it manages equally to all operators.

Paananen’s duties as Business Development Manager are varied. “I’m responsible for the operations of the rooftop station management service and developing business activities. I also play a part in bringing in new customers and developing marketing for the service,” Paananen explains.

As Service Coordinator, Käyhkö has many different duties to manage. “I help with things like maintaining and managing our rental agreements and taking care of related invoicing. I also attend customer meetings and offer my support to sales when necessary,” Käyhkö explains.

“The significance of digital infrastructure will be highlighted in the future as the demands placed on living comfort and effective data connections grow,” Paananen says as she talks about what the future holds for the Site Service team. The team follows the development of mobile technologies and develops its services in cooperation with operators and property owners.

The development of the 5G network is a key part of the team’s future. “The 5G network will become denser, and we will be increasing the availability of high-quality digital infrastructure to operators and other organisations building mobile networks,” Paananen says.
