During the spring of 2021, Friday mornings at Digita have often started with a shared well-being session. Some mornings, nearly 100 Digita employees have listened to tips for a breakfast that helps the day get off to a better start and engaged in exercise for a more flexible upper back. At times, the entire team has been lying on their backs at their own workstations on the floors of homes, offices and stations.

“We at Digita have made employee well-being one of our priorities and believe that it will have a strong impact on our ability to better serve our customers”, says Taija Lehtola, Head of HR at Digita. “At the beginning of the year, we started a well-being programme with Hintsa Performance, through which we offer lectures and well-being sessions for the entire personnel during the spring, the opportunity to participate in various programmes related to one’s own well-being like well being walks, and workshops on managing well-being for supervisors”, Lehtola describes the spring well-being programme.

“We renewed our early intervention and work ability management model last autumn and trained our supervisors. We have strengthened our cooperation with both our occupational health care and pension insurance partners and believe that by working together, we will achieve better results”, Lehtola explains the measures implemented. In addition, we are already preparing for the post-coronavirus era and are finishing the renovation of our head office to be more ergonomic and comfortable, as well as having outlined the tools for working remotely.

“Well-being also increases by increasing the sense of community”, Lehtola believes. In late 2020, we shared team greetings from all over Finland in the form of an advent calendar and got to know each other’s job descriptions and tasks – people liked this very much! We also arrange, for example, virtual coffee breaks for all Digita employees from time to time. The personnel’s work motivation was just measured with the biannual Pulssi survey and it was at an excellent level. Hopefully this will also be visible to you customers!

Best regards,

Taija Lehtola
