Yle, MTV and Sanoma TV channels have implemented a new Hybrid TV menu that makes Hybrid TV services easier to access. You can now find all the services you’re already familiar with quickly and easily by pressing the red button – no need to open a separate app. Hybrid TV services have been used significantly more since the new menu was launched.

When switching to a channel, the menu shows the current programme and prompts you to press the red button on your remote. The red button brings up the channel’s additional services, including the television company’s streaming services, such as Yle Areena, Ruutu and MTV Katsomo. You will also find a programme guide, the Start Playing (Aloita alusta) service and apps associated with specific programmes, such as voting apps for the Voice of Finland and Putous. Hybrid TV services are provided as part of the TV channel in question, which means different services will be available on different channels.

Digita is constantly working with media companies to develop Hybrid TV services that enrich the viewing experience with the press of a button on your remote. Hybrid TV brings the interactive features of the Internet to your television. The new Hybrid TV menu is the gateway to these services.

Hybrid TV services are available across Finland on Digita’s Antenna TV and all of the largest cable TV networks. The new feature is currently accessible on 1.3 million televisions. Hybrid TV services are available on relatively new smart TV devices. All you need to do is connect your television to the Internet.
