After a long absence, terrestrial television viewers once again have the opportunity to follow the top ice hockey league in Finland on Antenna TV with the return of the Telia Liigapassi channel package’s terrestrial television broadcasts in HD. From 16 December 2020, all games played by Liiga teams will be broadcast on Antenna TV. The ice hockey rush starts on 16 December 2020 at 5:00 p.m. with Pelicans vs. TPS.

The Liiga 1 HD channel can be found on terrestrial television channel 59, and all channels included with the Telia Liigapassi package (Liiga TV, Liiga 1–7) can be found as Hybrid Beta channels on channels 89 and 92–98. All Telia Liigapassi channels that are available on terrestrial television are part of the C More Total+ and Antenna TV combined package from C More.

“Customer-oriented services are at the heart of everything we do. There has been much demand for Liiga’s return to terrestrial television, and effortless collaboration with Digita was what made it possible for us to quickly respond to this demand,” Emmi Vainionpää, Head of Distribution at MTV, says with delight.

“We are very happy that Liiga matches are returning to terrestrial television and that we are able to offer viewers the opportunity of watching them on the big screen. Terrestrial television’s pay-TV channel offerings now serve sports fans better than ever. Offering the whole Telia Liigapassi channel package in the form of Hybrid Beta channels is an excellent example of the adaptability and versatility of Hybrid TV services,” says Ossi Ilveskoski, Director of Pay TV Services at Digita.
