Digita has become very familiar over the years to Business Manager Pentti Haatanen. Haatanen has worked at Digita since the company was founded in 1999. “My duties include identifying customer needs, designing radio services and their delivery to customers. The content of many licensed radio and Yle broadcasts is transmitted widely to listeners around Finland through Digita’s radio broadcasting networks,” explains Haatanen. Environmental concerns are also important to Digita. “We try to take our carbon footprint into account in developing our services and technology,” says Haatanen.

Like Haatanen, Business Manager Jari Pasuri also joined Digita in 1999. Pasuri describes his duties as diverse — “Designing services based on customer needs together with technical professionals and business planning,” says Pasuri. “Finnish radio is a profitable and dynamic media in terms of listener numbers and advertising sales. Content determines the popularity of a media, but Digita’s radio services enable Finnish radio media to be successful,” explains Pasuri.

Digita is often perceived as a FM radio distributor, but according to Pasuri, Digita also offers more than this. “We have the ability to provide solutions for Internet radio, for example.  We ensure the availability of technologies and services that allow our radio customer’s business to continue to be profitable in the future,” says Pasuri.

Mika Hyytiäinen, who works as a Radio Development Manager, joined Digita in 2008 after becoming interested in the exciting tasks offered by Digita in the radio industry. “My duties consist of, for example, development of new radio services and more cost-effective solutions”, says Hyytiäinen. Hyytiäinen lists several reasons for the importance of Digita’s radio services — “At Digita, we offer companies throughout the radio industry the opportunity to focus on content production and their core business. At Digita, we work hard to ensure a high quality of service and solid professionalism,” says Hyytiäinen.
