Digita Data Centers team has grown stronger

Mats Leppänen started as the sales director of Digita Data Centers at the end of 2024. An IT engineer, Mats came to Digita from Efore Telecom Finland Oy. Before this, Mats worked at Hewlett Packard Enterprise for ten years and at Nokia for about fifteen years, including stints abroad in Italy, Singapore, and Norway.

“At Digita, I was particularly interested in the opportunity to be involved in growing the Data Center business and acquiring and developing existing and new customers. We offer quality and good connections both in Finland and abroad. Digita’s quality is demonstrated by our way of handling, for example, radio and TV broadcasts – we are close to 100 percent in terms of availability. The same quality applies to the Data Center business,” says Mats. “The location of Digita’s data centers is excellent. You can fly close, and our team is service-oriented and handles various assignments agilely,” Mats summarizes Digita’s strengths.

Ricardo Moreiro started at Digita in early February 2025. Ricardo, more familiarly known as Riku, is originally from Portugal but now lives in Finland. Ricardo’s sales focus is on both domestic and international sales. For the past three years, Ricardo has helped Digita acquire customers in international markets. Additionally, he has worked as an entrepreneur, particularly in developing international business.

“It is great to work in Digita’s Data Center team, as we are the most connected data center in Finland. This is an absolute attraction in the market. I am excited to meet our customers and build strong, long-term partnerships,” says Ricardo. This is a strength that I am happy to highlight when attracting international companies to Finland and establishing Finland as a key colocation center in the Nordics.

Klaus Ahlstrand, who is responsible for operational activities, started at Digita in February 2025. Before this, he consulted the business for a few months. Klaus leads data center operations and new data center projects. Before Digita, Klaus worked at Kirkkonummi municipality, Elisa, Ixonos, Vattenfall, and most recently at the National Emergency Supply Agency.

“Digita’s strategy is to expand the data center sector and move to a larger scale. Our strength as a data center operator is connecting major players. This allows customers to create and utilize new connections,” says Klaus. His dream is to make Helsinki’s hotspot even more attractive and systematically increase capacity.
