The Tokyo Summer Olympics will be held from late July to early August, with the Beijing Winter Olympics taking place in February. Discovery and Digita’s agreement on HD broadcasting is valid for the official dates of the Tokyo and Beijing Olympic Games, i.e. from 23 July to 8 August 2021 and from 4 to 20 February 2022.

Antenna Ready HD receiver and channel search

During the Olympics, TV5’s HD channel will be available on Digita’s terrestrial network in a 99.96% population coverage area in multiplex B on channel 27. To watch the TV5 HD channel, you need an Antenna Ready HD receiver or the receiver must be equipped with a DVB-T2 tuner. Most receivers automatically search for new channels, but some televisions or set-top boxes may require retuning or a reset to factory presets. Instructions on how to search for new channels can be found on Digita’s website and in your device’s user manual.
